My next two hours of Bloodborne, played several hours after the first, went surprisingly well.  In fact, I only died once.  The area which had gotten the best of me in my last attempt was my first challenge this time around, and I cleared it with relative ease.  By this time, my baiting skills are pretty good, having learned the ropes through notable failures.  Afterwards, I was confronted by the bridge.  First, however, it is time for a bit of honesty.

Tomb Raider: Definitive Edition Xbox One

Lara Croft. A name that will surely go down as one of the most famous video game protagonists of all time, considerably as loved as Mario, Sonic, and Cortana. Since her first appearance in 1996 in the original Tomb Raider video game she has been a leading figure in video games as a bad ass female protagonists. In the reboot of the series simply titled Tomb Raider, she does not fail to live up to this at all. You play as Lara as she searches the Pacific for a lost civilization from the time of Imperial Japan, only to shipwreck on an island that has seen hundreds of people from all periods of time stranded there, some of whom are still alive and have sinister plans for any new survivors.

Bloodborne: My Story of Hope and Despair, but Mostly Despair (Part One – Lessons Learned)

As I sit here typing, my eyes hurt a bit.  I feel tense and a bit stressed.  Why, you might ask?  Well, I just played my first two hours of Bloodborne.  If this is your first time reading about my experience be sure to click here to read the prequel to this series which explains why I decided to take a dive into Bloodborne.  Well, now that you have done that, let me detail my experience.

Bloodborne: My Story of Hope and Despair, but Mostly Despair (The Prequel)

I am a fool.  I have never played any of the Dark Souls games (or Demon Souls) and in general, I am not good at difficult games.  Typically, I will play things on an easier difficulty so I can ensure I play-through it with little trouble.  When I go back to a game I will play it on a higher difficulty, but I only like being challenged by something I have beaten before.  Well, it is time to accept a new challenge and get my ass kicked.  I bought Bloodborne.
