Update #4

Two days ago, I moved back into college to start my junior year.  I am currently in the process of settling in, adjusting, and figuring out what my schedule is going to consist of for the year.  I am taking a bit of a break from my page while I do this.  I will continue to write in my free time.  I will wait until I have a substantial amount of articles to post so I do not have to take another break.  I have appreciated the feedback I have received and I would like to thank those of you who have been consistently reading my articles.  I will continue to write and hopefully this page will become something much greater!  I will be back.  Thanks for your patience!

My Top 8 Games of the Next 6 Months (Part Seven)

For this series, I will talk about games I am excited for.  All of the games on this list are either pre-ordered, or will be pre-ordered once an official release date is confirmed.  I will be playing all of the following games on PlayStation 4 (with the exception of one).  Everything I say about these games is based solely on my opinion.  I am not saying that any game on this list is better or will be better than any of the others.  They are ordered based on my personal interest and excitement.  I will continue with number five and work up, the last game being the one which I am most excited for. Here we go!

2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an action RPG set in a massive open world.  The Witcher 3 will conclude the story of Geralt of Rivia, which has been told in the previous two installments.  The Witcher 3 will make further improvements on the gameplay introduced in the second game.  As per usual, choice will play a huge impact on the story, and with this title, the missions themselves.  There will be multiple ways to play each mission and the game boasts 36 endings.  CD Projekt Red is putting their all into this next installment, and given the incredible story and overall story of The Witcher 2, I am very excited to see all this game has to offer.

First Impressions: Diablo III: Ultimate Evil Edition (PS4) – Part One

Note:  This article will make more sense if you have read my Game Spotlight on Diablo III.  I explain my initial hesitations with this game and what I wanted it to be.  This article is a follow-up and further development of my thoughts on Diablo III!

diablo33

So far, I have played between 3-5 hours of Diablo III since I got it Tuesday.  I created a Barbarian character and I am currently level 19.  For probably the first time ever, I am completely ignoring the story in a game.  This was recommended to me through IGN’s recent review of this definitive edition.  Strangely, this has not affected me as much as I thought it would.  The story very clearly takes a backseat to the gameplay and for once, I am completely okay with that.  I have enjoyed my time with this game so far and I know I will spend a lot more with it.

3B. Assassin’s Creed Rogue

Developer: Ubisoft Sofia

Publisher: Ubisoft

Platforms: PlayStation 3, Xbox 360

Release Date: November 11, 2014

Assassin’s Creed Rogue is an interesting step for the franchise and I am very intrigued by its concept.  The game takes place during the Seven Years’ War and this time around, you play as Shay Cormac.  Shay used to be an Assassin, but is now a Templar.  This game will have ties to AC3 and 4 and it will conclude the story arc that began with the former.  I am taking a risk with this game because for me, the most interesting aspect is its story.  Perhaps I have too much faith in AC Rogue.  Coming off of AC4 and how disappointed I was by the game’s story, I should be more hesitant about creating expectations for myself with this title.  While I am trying my hardest not to set myself up for disappointment, the premise of this game intrigues me to no end, and the game is bringing back one of my favorite characters in the franchise.
